What are the financial costs associated with the event?

In 2024, there are none! Since Collegiate Growth Academy is completely virtual, chapters do not have to cover registration, travel, meals, etc. for the weekend. It is a completely free program for VP recruitment, VP recruitment information, VP public relations and marketing and VP new member education.

How will the program be delivered?

Collegiate Growth Academy will be all virtual on Zoom! If you do not have a Zoom account, you can sign up for free. We will also be using Whova, an app that will give you information about the event including the schedule, session Zoom links and resources you may use during or after sessions. If you do not have the Whova app downloaded, you can get it for free. If you tap the link on your smartphone, click the button on the page that appears to download the app on your phone’s app store. If you click the link on your computer, use your phone camera to scan the QR code; you will then get a pop up to download the app. 

What can I do to prepare?

Please make sure your Zoom is updated to the most current version. Also, you will be asked to turn on your video and use your microphone during the program. Please test those two things ahead of time.

Since the program will be delivered virtually, please consider how you plan to take notes. While some prefer to type their notes, others may prefer to write their notes. Plan ahead for the materials you will need to be successful and learn best during the weekend. 

After you download the Whova app, click on “Find My Event / Conference” and type in “Collegiate Growth Academy 2024.” It is imperative you download the app prior to the weekend! We will not be emailing out Zoom session links. Instead, you will find the Zoom link for each session in the schedule on the app. 

Do I have to attend everything, or can I pick only the sessions I want to go to?

Just like if you were in person, all participants are required to attend every session! There will be something for everyone in each of the sessions.

Can I send someone else in my place? 

Substitutions for Collegiate Growth Academy may be made until the end of January. Substitution requests should be emailed to growth@alphachiomega.org. Please include the shipping address as of January 25, 2024 for the substitute so she may receive event materials (we cannot ship to P.O. boxes). Any substitutions made after January 25, 2024 will not be guaranteed their materials by the start of Collegiate Growth Academy.

Alpha Chi Omega will work with collegiate chapters to determine the best substitute.

What time does Collegiate Growth Academy start and end each day?

We know it can get confusing when everyone is in different time zones! On Saturday, February 17, the weekend kicks off with an opening keynote at 11 a.m. EST/ 10 a.m. CST/ 9 a.m. MST/ 8 a.m. PST. Saturday wraps up at 7 p.m. EST/ 6 p.m. CST/ 5 p.m. MST/ 4 p.m. PST. Sunday, February 18, begins with educational sessions at 11:30 a.m. EST/ 10:30 a.m. CST/ 9:30 a.m. MST/ 8:30 a.m. PST. The weekend concludes at 5 p.m. EST/ 4 p.m. CST/ 3 p.m. MST/ 2 p.m. PST.
