Preparing for the Weekend

Here is a checklist of things you should do before Collegiate Growth Academy to ensure you’re set up for success and do not miss anything. We want to make sure the weekend runs smoothly and by accomplishing these tasks ahead of time, you will be best prepared!

✓ Ensure the contact information for the 2024 VP R, VP RI, VP PRM and VP NME have been updated in Lyre Links.

  • We will be sending communication to the officers in the database before and after the program. If you are not receiving communication about Collegiate Growth Academy, please reach out to the previous officer to have her forward the information to you. Please also work with your VP PRM to get your correct contact information updated in Lyre Links under your officer role. Also, the officers in Lyre Links will have access to The Heights Learning Center, where required pre-work will need to be completed.

✓ Complete the event pre-work.

✓ Download Zoom.

  • If you do not have a Zoom account, you can sign up for free.
  • This is the platform for how all sessions will be delivered. Be sure your Zoom is updated to the most current version.
  • You will be asked to turn on your video and use your microphone during the program. Please test those two things ahead of time.

✓ Download the Whova app.

  • If you do not have the app, you can get it for free.
  • This app will give you information about the event including the schedule, session Zoom links and resources you may use during or after sessions.
  • If you tap the link above on your smartphone, click the button on the page that appears to download the app on your phone’s app store. If you click the link above on your computer, use your phone camera to scan the QR code; you will then get a pop up to download the app.
  • This upcoming January, we will be releasing more information about Whova. In the meantime, you can learn more about Whova in this brief video.

VP recruitment, VP recruitment information and VP public relations and marketing should follow the private recruitment Instagram account:@axohq.recruitment.

✓ Join your officer/advisor Facebook pages.

✓ Have a plan for notetaking.

  • Since the program will be delivered virtually, please consider how you plan to take notes. While some prefer to type their notes, others may prefer to write their notes. Plan for the materials you will need to be successful and learn best during the weekend.

✓ Check out the FAQ page if you have more questions!
