Warning Signs for Burnout: What to Look for and What to Do About It

SESSION

Burnout is prevalent, and most of us are feeling disengaged from work and home. And yet, so many of us continue to chug along and hope things get better. How do you know when you really need to stop and take care of yourself?

ABOUT DANIELLE

Prior to her work as a therapist, Danielle Ireland, MSW, LCSW, worked as a performer and ballroom dance instructor. Her journey from performer to therapist wasn’t a clearly defined path, but rather a sweaty, awkward and exhilarating process of step, stumble, fear, learn, repeat. She believes that when we see the best in ourselves, we bring out the best in others.

She's also the creator of the Unleashing You program, author of the Treasured Journal and host of the podcast Don't Cut Your Own Bangs – the remedy to comparison and feeling like everyone has life figured out but you.

RESILIENCY REWIND: HOW TO RESTART YOUR VOLUNTEER WORK WITH MORE BOUNCE BACK

SESSION

Our goal is simple. We want to have a live dialogue about the things that really make an impact on volunteers increasing their resiliency skills. Spoiler alert: two of the biggest tips are minding your own MOVIE and your brain recorder. We will open a conversation about why we need resiliency now more than ever. Then we will dig into the most practical advice about how to get more of that gold! This session is full of intriguing and true stories about the journey to a place of authentic resiliency – for all of us.

ABOUT ERIN

Erin Fischer is the owner and CEO of The Leadership and Training Studio, a leadership development company that focuses on bringing true, funny and highly engaging components to keynotes instead of boring PowerPoints! She hates long intros, so here is the short version: She’s written two published books, spoken in 46 states, keynoted in front of 35,000 people over the past 15 years, written hundreds of leadership programs for her fraternal clients and is only good at four things in this world – one is being an aunt to all her nieces and nephews and one is being a human GPS. (Ask her about the other two!) What you really need to know is she is fascinated by human dynamics and has studied confidence, grit and resiliency to help folks work better together.
